The academic fate of nearly 20 lakh class 10th and class 12th students are going to be decided as the Central Board of Secondary Education is expected to release the board exam results soon. The exact date and time have not been decided as no exam related update has been made available at the official website of the educational body. But most likely, it will be out by this week.
Keeping in view the elections that were held in five states namely Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Goa and Manipur, the educational body postponed the class 12th board exams and conducted it from March 9th to April 29th. As per the NDTV report, class 12th exams saw a 2.82 percent surge in the number of the examinees as compared to the last year with 10,98,981 students who appeared for the 12th board exams alone.

The students are eagerly and impatiently waiting to check the fruits of their hard work. When the results will be published, the students can check their results which will be made available on the official portal cbse.nic.in or cbseresults.nic.in. But in case these portals are inaccessible due to the traffic load, students can alternatively rely on other websites such as results.nic.in or results.gov.in. Students will be needing to login using their credentials-roll number, date of birth and name (as mentioned in the admit card)to retrieve their results.
The students are both excited and anxious as the CBSE has decided to scrap off the modernisation or standardisation policy from this year on as it was considered irresponsible and unfair. Under the scheme, grace marks or marks of modernisation were awarded to students with respect to the difficult questions. This resulted in the inflation in the cut-offs in college admissions which went up as high as 100 percent in various universities last year. The decision of doing off with it would give students a sense of relief as it would cool down the high cut-offs requirements for college admissions but it is also likely to lower their grades in the board results.
Students are requested to keep checking the official website for the latest update on the results.
All the Best!!
