HERE’S TO BEING UNMARRIED
“Certainly the best works, and of greatest merit for the public, have proceeded from the unmarried, or childless men.“
- Francis Bacon
The best of men have never been married; still, nothing has stopped them from being, you know, them. There are many other things to do in life rather than being married, having a 9-5 job, a dog, 2 kids and yes, a wife.
However, being married has its own perks. You have one person who loves you for the rest of your life, takes care of you when you’re sick; your kids wait for you to get back home, and the look on their face is priceless. But for someone who has other passions and a lot of money, who cares to get married?
There are innumerable alternate lifestyles to be a part of, besides getting married. Below are some of them.
Around the globe in 80 days – Well, not exactly 80 days, you can take as many as you have; 80 just sounds catchy. You can for sure travel around the world to the best of the cities, every corner, and every street and live the best of it.
Live-in relationship – For some, it’s the same as marriage but in reality, it’s so not. You do live with the person you love but it is just not marriage. There is no official commitments and no family dinners, and who can forget, no meeting the parents if you’re not comfortable.
Bachelor party – You wouldn’t have to think twice before going to Vegas or Thailand for a random bachelor party. Go to the best casino, and spend all your saved money with the best of your buddies. However, you’ll have to come back to your 9 to 5 office, but at least you would have had an amazing, fun time.
Adventure expeditions – Go for adventure expeditions either alone or with a group of other single friends. Hiking, mountain climbing, sky diving and what not. Find your true passion on the hills or in the water.
Vagabond –Since you are not married, pack a bag with a pair of jeans, a few tees and you’re ready to rock n roll. Anywhere you want to go, keep on shifting. Enjoy and live a non-settled life.
A Monk who sold his Ferrari – Turn into a saint, sell off everything and live a bhramachari life. What would you do, earning so much? Donate it all to those who are not blessed. Live a peaceful, aesthetic life.
Adopt a baby –Live a happy settled, yet single, life. Why do you need a partner to be settled? If you like kids, adopt one; be a single parent. Gift someone the gift of a blessed life, and give an example to the society, saying, that’s how you live life to the fullest
